"The View" host Whoopi Goldberg listed all the U.S. allies President Donald Trump has trashed while cozying up to brutal dictators in Saudi Arabia and North Korea.
The president has offered excuses for the apparent murder of U.S. journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi killers, but Goldberg said Trump has been bizarrely tough and rude on other allies.
"I do want to sort of bring up a little weird thing which is the folks that the new guy has actually gotten tough with, where he's just really gotten like, you know -- our allies at the (United Nations)," Goldberg said, and co-host Meghan McCain added Canada to the list. "Angela Merkel -- he threw a Starburst candy at her at the G-7. Theresa May, he said she didn't listen to him on Brexit. The Australian prime minister, remember when he was calling him and screaming at him, badgering him on the phone? Mexico's president."
"You know who's gotten a pass?" she added. "The Russians, Kim Jong-un and the Saudi princes."
Co-host Sunny Hostin said Trump was nice to countries that had invested money in his businesses, and Goldberg agreed.
"Follow the money," she said.
Trump insisted the Saudis should be granted due process rights, just as he said Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh should -- but Hostin shone a spotlight on his hypocrisy.
"It's rich that he says innocent until proven guilty," Hostin said. "That wasn't his position with the Central Park Five. It was always guilty, guilty, guilty, and even when they were acquitted, it was guilty. That's unbelievable to me."
