Far-right Proud Boys create their own social network -- and it gets shut down in less than a week

The Proud Boys, a group of far-right militants who have often clashed in the streets with left-wing antifa activists, tried launching their own answer to Facebook this week.


However, as the Daily Beast's Will Sommer reports, the so-called "ProudBook" social network has already been shut down less than a week after launching.

According to the error message shown on the ProudBook website, the website's account was "suspended" by its host, although there is no indication as to the specific reasons why the website was shut down.
