Trump has ‘a special loathing’ for Christmas parties and tries to flee them as soon as possible: report

Published

on

Even though President Donald Trump has regularly boasted about supposedly “saving” Christmas during his tenure in the White House, a new report claims that the president secretly hates attending Christmas parties.

White House staffers tell New York Magazine’s Olivia Nuzzi that Trump has “a special loathing” for Christmas parties and tries to flee them as quickly as he can.

One person described as “close” to the White House surmises that the president despises Christmas parties because the holiday they celebrate is about the birth of Jesus, rather than Trump himself.

“If it were about him, he’d love it,” the source tells Nuzzi. “Christmas is not about him.”

Another White House official was more sympathetic to the president and simply said that the Christmas parties were “a lot” for him to take in.

“He just gets impatient,” the official tells Nuzzi. “He likes to go go go. Sitting through things, he gets restless.”

Trump has been particularly annoyed by the yearly ritual that involves people lining up to snap photos with him at the parties — and he’s even recruited Vice President Mike Pence to stand in for him so he can flee.

Trump is ‘devoted to racial arson’ — and that’s why he took ‘a massive dump on the American dream’: Rick Wilson

Published

on

Republican strategist Rick Wilson has penned a scathing column for the Daily Beast in which he dismantles President Donald Trump for telling four Democratic women of color to "go back" to their countries of origin, even though three of them were born in the United States.

Wilson begins his column by arguing that Trump has shown what happens when someone who is "devoted to political and racial arson" and is "beyond shame, reason, and dignity" gets elected to the most powerful office in the United States.

Trump’s team blowing off racist furor because they know the GOP is afraid to do anything about it: report

Published

on

According to a report at the Daily Beast, officials running Donald Trump's re-election campaign are keeping their heads down and plowing ahead with their work as the country is consumed with the president's burst of racist comments because they believe it will blow over.

The reason? Because Republicans will refuse to condemn the president -- which is being borne out in real-time -- and it's just another day at the office where the president wildly tweets outrageous comments that are superseded by new comments that consume the public's attention.

Melania’s ‘shameful’ complicity in Trump’s agenda slammed by women activists from her home country

Published

on

Melania Trump has been known for very little in her own right. Aside from her widely-panned "Be Best" anti-cyberbullying initiative, she is mostly notable only as a staunch defender of Trump's agenda and behavior, backing him up on everything from Birtherism to abuse of migrant children.

It's a major disappointment to women's activists in her native country of Slovenia, reports The Daily Beast. Several of them were hoping that Melania would be a strong voice on the world stage in her own right, and are frustrated that she has acted as nothing more than a mouthpiece for the president.
