The bomb threat phone into CNN reportedly came from a caller with a Southern accent, MSNBC reports.

On Thursday evening, CNN's New York City offices were evacuated following a bomb threat.

CNN anchor Don Lemon -- whose show was interrupted by the threats -- not the "suspicious" timing of the threats being called in shortly after an angry tweet against journalism by President Donald Trump.

MSNBC anchor Brian Williams interviewed WNYC investigative reporter Jonathan Dienst for the latest.

"Basically the police are telling us it was an unsubstantiated telephone threat to the Time Warner Center," Dienst reported.

"The caller with a Southern accent had claimed there were five bombs placed around the building," he reported.
