On Thursday, CNN's Don Lemon recapped the top 2018 outcomes from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into President Donald Trump's 2016 election.

"The government is shut down, but someone in Washington is still working, and that person is Mueller," Lemon said. "The walls are closing in on the president on every front."

CNN legal analyst Jack Quinn said that it can only get worse for the president.

"How bad can this get?" Lemon asked.

"It's going to get worse from here. So many of the areas on which you touched on are unresolved. We don't know the most critical question," he said.

Quinn added, "The one constant throughout this year is that people very close to Donald Trump lied. What did they lie about? They lied about Russia, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Michael Flynn, and Michael Cohen."

Before he could finish his sentence, Lemon chined in and said, "We only have so much show."
