President Donald Trump's former personal attorney announced Wednesday that he will not testify before Congress as scheduled on February 7, citing threats to his family.
Cohen, who had once bragged that he would take a bullet for Trump, drew an angry response from two former adversaries.
Stormy Daniels, who came forward with an account of having an affair with Trump, and her lawyer Michael Avenatti, had both sparred with Cohen.
Daniels blamed Cohen for threats she got after threatening to come forward, and now suggested Cohen is a coward.
"Are you f*cking serious, Mikey?! What about MY family? You gave zero sh*ts about my baby. In all serious though, this is WHY you shouldn't back down! This is your chance to be a hero! I'll loan you some of my balls, hold your hand, or whatever else you need to do the right thing."
Avenatti was likewise unsympathetic, calling Cohen's actions "ludicrous" and pointing out that everyone involved has gotten threats.
"It doesn’t stop us from doing what is right," Avenatti said.
