On his Tuesday night show, comedian Stephen Colbert joked about President Donald Trump's address to the nation. Trump interrupted primetime TV with the hope of gaining support and funding for his border wall.

"Trump's address preempted CBS show FBI, but it's not the first time he's interfered with an FBI investigation," Colbert joked.

He also said that Trump "missed being on primetime TV."

During his speech, Trump overtly said that the US-Mexico border is in a "crisis." He also shunned Democrats for not giving him billions in funding for the wall, thus shutting down the government.

Colbert joked that Trump would do anything to get his wall.

"Next it's going to be, 'Hello Shark Tank I'm asking for $5.7 billion for my border wall'" Colbert said impersonating Trump.

Colbert said that Trump's speech was so bad that it remained him of the Netflix original movie Bird Box, where people wear blindfolds to stop from harming themselves.

"The president is making a speech tonight about the crisis at the border ... the point is if you watch it you will want to hurt yourself," he joked.
