Donald Trump Jr. attempted to defend his father from Michael Cohen's congressional testimony -- and was swiftly met with online mockery.
The president's son, who was implicated in a possible campaign finance violation in Cohen's prepared statement, accused Democrats of using the testimony to undermine Trump's negotiations with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
"Only Democrats could hate someone so much that they would try to disrupt nuclear peace talks with testimony from a convicted felon," Trump Jr. tweeted.
Other Twitter users poured on a round of ridicule.
