On Thursday, economic reporter John Harwood fact-checked one of President Donald Trump's key measures of his success in the oval office.
His administration has touted a strong economy in an effort to legitimize Trump's position. And Donald Trump Jr., has longed bragged about a booming economy, however, Harwood debunked his claims in one tweet.
The Bureau of Economic Analysis released new numbers revealing the state of the economy.
"Growth slowed from 4.2 percent in the second quarter of 2018 to 3.4 percent in the third and then 2.2 percent in the fourth," a report from the National Review states.
Harwood outlined the steady decline in his tweet.

However, Donald Trump Jr. was unable to accurately read the data. Making his clap-back remark baseless since he could not differentiate a single quarter’s growth to a whole year’s growth.
