President Donald Trump lashed out at former attorney Michael Cohen by citing a Fox News report about a book manuscript he was shopping last year.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson passed along a report Thursday night by the Daily Mail tabloid that Cohen had been hoping to publish a flattering book about his former boss, with the working title, Trump Revolution: From The Tower to The White House, Understanding Donald J. Trump.

"Wow, just revealed that Michael Cohen wrote a 'love letter to Trump' manuscript for a new book that he was pushing," Trump tweeted. "Written and submitted long after Charlottesville and Helsinki, his phony reasons for going rogue. Book is exact opposite of his fake testimony, which now is a lie!"

The tabloid reported that Cohen sent the manuscript to several publishers last year, in the weeks before the FBI raided his offices in April 2018, and the president said that "totally discredited" his former attorney's testimony, much of which was backed up by documents and other evidence.

"Congress must demand the transcript of Michael Cohen’s new book," Trump tweeted, "given to publishers a short time ago. Your heads will spin when you see the lies, misrepresentations and contradictions against his Thursday testimony. Like a different person! He is totally discredited!"
