Paul Manafort ‘wrote the book on obstructing justice’: Ex-federal prosecutor
Former federal prosecutor Elie Honig appears on CNN (Screen cap).

On Wednesday, Donald Trump's former associate and campaign chair Paul Manafort had three and a half more years tacked to his sentence, resulting in 7.5 years altogether.

Right after his sentence was announced, New York Attorney General Cy Vance announced New York would also go after Manafort, in which case he can't be pardoned by the President.

On CNN's The Lead Wednesday, former prosecutor Elie Honig said the sentence was still too light, given the scope of his crimes.

"I still think it's too light. When you look at the totality of what Manafort did ... the guy wrote a whole textbook about obstructing justice," Honig observed.
