Prosecutors dropped all charges against actor Jussie Smollett and "wiped clean" his record -- and conservatives are furious.
The "Empire" star was accused of faking an anti-black, anti-gay hate crime in Chicago as part of an alleged publicity stunt, but the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office suddenly decided Tuesday to stop the prosecution.
Smollett had said his assailants yelled pro-Trump slogans and bigoted slurs against him during the alleged attack, and many conservatives had portrayed the president's supporters as the true victims in the incident.
