
President Donald Trump started off Thursday morning with a cryptic tweet attacking the "fake news" media, and claimed to have a secret method for dealing with negative coverage.
The president frequently attacks journalists, sometimes by name, at campaign rallies and regularly on Twitter, but he insisted he had learned to live with reporting that made him look bad.
"The Fake News Media is going Crazy!" Trump tweeted. "They are suffering a major 'breakdown,' have ZERO credibility or respect, & must be thinking about going legit. I have learned to live with Fake News, which has never been more corrupt than it is right now. Someday, I will tell you the secret!"

Trump appeared Wednesday evening on the Fox News program hosted by Sean Hannity, a close ally he privately speaks to regularly and who appears sometimes to show his support at political rallies.
The president also promoted a rally scheduled for Thursday evening in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he promised to talk about auto manufacturing jobs.
