Appearing with CNN's Ana Cabrera, a former member of the National Security Council ripped into President Donald Trump's marathon "unhinged" speech at CPAC attacking American institutions, saying it might as well have been written by Vladimir Putin.
According to Samantha Vinograd -- who was an advisor on international security affairs under President Barack Obama -- Trump's speech was personally offensive and made her "sick."
"This whole CPAC speech?' she began. "How many pieces or parts of President Putin's to-do list was President Trump trying to accomplish today?"
"He denigrated our institutions, the Department of Justice and the U.S. Congress, and spread misinformation and conspiracy theories," she continued. "He undermined the credibility of several of our institutions, he sowed divisions and he sowed confusion."
Vinograd said Trump's base likely ate it up -- putting them in league with the Russian strongman.
"He was speaking to his base and also saying things that really looked like Vladimir Putin scripted his speech," she claimed.
