On Thursday, CNN's Chris Cuomo grilled White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway over the president's habits of inciting violence.
Trump said that his supporters including the police and military will get "tough" with those whose oppose him.
"Are you open to saying he should not have said what he said?" Cuomo asked Conway.
"You're just reading into it like you usually do. You have to read the entire interview. He was talking about how peaceful and gentle many people are who are otherwise tough," she responded.
She then began randomly rambling about Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and said that she incites violence.
"It has nothing to do with the question," Cuomo said.
"She crazily told people, to get up in their faces. If you see somebody in the Trump cabinet," Conway tried to explain.
"Is this that frightening? You really can't defend it," Cuomo said.
