On Tuesday, CNN's Don Lemon ripped Attorney General Barr as a "political hack." It was reported that Robert Mueller criticized Barr over his characterization of the special counsel report.

This is a rare move from Mueller, who kept a low-profile during the two-year investigation.

"It shows this attorney general has been here for the president rather than the American people," CNN's Chris Cuomo said.

"Or a political hack, if you want to be just that blunt about it," Lemon said. "Or a mercenary for the president."

"You don’t have to be a lawyer to see that someone is trying to pull the wool over your eyes," Lemon added. "You don’t have to be a lawyer to see how William Barr got this job, how he conducted himself at the hearings, and how he conducted himself at the press conference with the letter and the second press conference. He tried to shape the narrative."

"Everything we have been reporting about this letter and this A.G. is true. Trying to shape the narrative has turned out to be true. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all the time, "Lemon explained.
