On Wednesday, the tension on The Hill grew thicker after Attorney General Bill Barr'sĀ rollout of special counsel Robert Mueller report.

Barr announced that he is holding a press conference Thursday morning before releasing the highly anticipated report. Several Democrats and pundits voiced thatĀ  Barr's decisions is creating a political "sh*t show."

"The president and his lawyers have been beating the drum and saying, you know, there was no collusion, no obstruction, that this report represents a complete and total exoneration," one House Judiciary aide told Business Insider. "So why are they so concerned about what's in the report? Why are they working so hard to craft this narrative before we even see the thing?"

A committee aide said it was a sham.

"They're apoplectic," the aide said. "This whole thing is an sh*t show and a sham. But it's just what Trump wanted. He hit the jackpot with Barr."
