He makes clear he’s running not against any Democratic primary candidate, but against Trump.

Just-released polling pitting Biden against President Donald Trump gives the former six-term Delaware Democratic Senator a strong lead.

Biden “leads President Trump by 8 percentage points in a hypothetical 2020 general election matchup, according to a new Morning Consult/Politico poll,” The Hill reports.

Biden takes 42% of registered voters, Trump takes just 34%, which shows that a portion of Trump’s base is at least on the fence. 19% say they aren’t sure yet.

And within an hour of his announcement, the former Vice President picked up the endorsements of two U.S. Senators: Bob Casey (D-PA) and Chris Coons (D-DE). Coons won Biden’s former Senate seat.

Biden is also trending on Twitter, taking four of the top ten slots:

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which range across the states of Illinois, Minnesota and New York.

In filings released Wednesday, prosecutors say three members of the artist's circle -- Richard Arline Jr., Donnell Russell and Michael Williams -- have been engaged in separate bids to silence Kelly's accusers in the New York racketeering case against him through intimidation, harassment and bribery.

Israeli lawmakers on Wednesday rejected a bill targeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that sought to block candidates under indictment from forming a future government.

In a vote that highlighted the fragility of the premier's coalition, Wednesday's bill, proposed by opposition leader Yair Lapid, was defeated 53-37. Members of the Blue and White party, who are part of the coalition, abstained.

Talk of a snap election is already widespread, just three months after the current government was formed.

Netanyahu is on trial for bribery, fraud and breach of trust. He denies wrongdoing.
