Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) insisted the Mueller report had exonerated President Donald Trump -- and other social media users flayed him alive.
The South Carolina Republican has emerged as one of Trump's staunchest defenders, and Graham has contradicted his own arguments in favor of impeaching Bill Clinton to shield the president from consequences after the 22-month special counsel investigation.
Other Twitter users immediately pounced on Grahams's denials of evidence turned up by Robert Mueller and his investigators, which showed Russia aimed to help Trump, although no conspiracy by campaign officials was established, and examined 11 instances of possible obstruction of justice.
