Trump’s presidency is ‘frightening’ — and the House is ‘agonizing’ over impeaching him: top Democrat

Published

on

Michigan Democratic Deputy Chief Whip Dan Kildee said Monday that his party was “agonizing” over what to do about President Donald Trump after the Mueller report revealed “frightening” corruption, chaos, and incompetence in the White House.

“I have been really disturbed by what I’ve read in the Mueller report, particularly the interactions between the president and his counsel, Don McGahn,” Kildee said.

“We’re going to have to make a hard call on this,” he continued. “The easy ones are where we know there will be blowback, but there’s no question about what we should do.”

“I’ve got to tell you, this is one we’re going to agonize over,” Kildee said of the choice to impeach or censure Trump. “The look that we’ve had into this presidency through this report is frightening.”

"I think Donald Trump is pretty well a known quantity at this point," said Toobin. "I mean, I think people around the world know he's a blowhard, knows he's full of bluster. But that's no reason to get into a war."

‘You’re scaring the children’: Nancy Pelosi says she got in Trump’s face with terms he can understand

Published

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) revealed on Monday that she told President Donald Trump that he is "scaring children" with his family separation policy at the border.

"Children are scared," she recalled telling him. "You're scaring the children of America, not just in those families, but their neighbors and communities."

"You're scaring the children," Pelosi repeated. "Now we have to continue to keep that pressure on [the president] to remove all doubt that we in our country respect people for their dignity and worth."

"Families belong together," the Speaker concluded.

 ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Trump endorses killing journalists, like Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. Online ad networks are now targeting sites that cover acts of violence against dissidents, LGBTQ people and people of color.
