Florida radio stations will air Trump speeches every hour of every day until 2020

Three radio stations in Florida intend to broadcast President Donald Trump’s speeches every hour of each day until the 2020 election.

The stations vowed to regularly air Trump speeches after the president promised $448 million in hurricane relief aid last week during a rally in Panama City, which was among the communities devastated last year by Hurricane Michael, reported the Orlando Sentinel.

WRBA-FM, WKNK-FM and WASJ-FM — all based in storm-ravaged Bay County — will broadcast two-minute excerpts of the president’s speeches every hour, every day until the election next year, said station owner Samuel Rogatinsky, whose Gulf Coast Media recently purchased the stations, which were knocked off the air for months by the storm.

“We ran it by a bunch of listeners and people in the area, and nobody’s upset about it. It’s Republican territory,” Rogatinsky said. “Nobody’s offended by it. It’s not an issue.”

The Robert Mueller standard must be overthrown — for the sake of democracy

Published

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report is a meticulous and compelling document recounting President Donald Trump’s actions and the informational warfare carried out during the 2016 election by the Russian government. Michael Cohen has already been imprisoned for his part in the scheme, but his testimony, public evidence, and common sense all indicate that Trump, too, was just as culpable.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh admitted that Republican fear-mongering over the federal deficit under President Obama was “bogus,” while defending the deficit's explosive rise to $1 trillion under President Trump.

This article originally appeared at Salon.

During Limbaugh’s show on Tuesday, a caller suggested that Republicans should nominate a young fiscal conservative instead of Trump, citing the rising deficit. Limbaugh dismissed the concerns, declaring that fiscal conservatism was basically a sham all along.

George Takei opens up about being held in an internment camp — and his views on Trump

Published

At a time when comic books are regularly adapted into superhero movies, George Takei's new graphic memoir "They Called Us Enemy" involves heroes who would also work wonderfully on the silver screen. To be sure, the main characters don't wear colorful costumes or use superpowers, but they are heroes nonetheless — and what they do, in the face of evils no less than those posed by fictional villains, is pretty super too.
