Anyone who even slightly expected Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) to back Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) in his suggestion that Donald Trump committed impeachable offenses during a CNN appearance on Sunday morning likely came away disappointed.
During an appearance on Jake Tapper's "State of the Union," the straitlaced former Republican presidential nominee couldn't even bring himself to say Trump has "disgraced" the office of the presidency by only being willing to say he found Trump's actions "troublesome."
Twitter users were quick to light Romney up as a "lapdog" -- and worse.
