President Donald Trump reacted to special counsel Robert Mueller's first public statement by repeating the same claim he's been saying for months.

Mueller summarized his report's findings Wednesday morning, and reiterated his office did not have the authority to indict a sitting president -- and also made clear he would have exonerated Trump if there was no evidence of possible wrongdoing.

Trump insisted that meant he had been cleared.

"Nothing changes from the Mueller Report," Trump tweeted about a half hour after the news conference ended. "There was insufficient evidence and therefore, in our Country, a person is innocent. The case is closed! Thank you."
