On Tuesday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) dismissed the revelations from the Intelligence Committee's report that ranking Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), one of the most visible and vocal opponents of the impeachment probe of President Donald Trump, was secretly in contact with Rudy Giuliani:

Giuliani, who is currently under federal criminal investigation and whose associates Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman have been indicted for campaign finance violations, helped engineer the scheme to extort military aid from Ukraine to force their government to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden.
