RFK Jr. delivers ‘disingenuous’ apology to sex abuse accuser — hints there may be others

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent candidate running for president, has apologized to the woman who accused him of sexual assault, and separately told reporters he does not know if there are more potential accusers.

The 70-year old anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist who has said a worm ate a portion of his brain, has not denied allegations of sexual misconduct. A recent Vanity Fair profile reports that in 1998, Eliza Cooney, 23-years old at the time and working as a part-time baby sitter for RFK Jr. and his wife’s children, felt his “hand moving up and down her leg under the table” during “a meeting in the family kitchen.”

'It was horrifying': Trump's election interference judge speaks out against Jan. 6 riots

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan warned urgently against the public losing sight of the horrors of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol during a routine sentencing this week.

According to Politico, Chutkan condemned the attack as a “violent attempt to stop the peaceful transfer of power” where rioters were “desecrating the center of our government.” She added that she continues to hear from a number of police who defended the Capitol that day, “who are still getting vile threats and being called names for doing their jobs.”

'Insufferable:' Pod Save America 'bros' face furious backlash after Biden sniping

Intense sniping between Democrats who want President Joe Biden to step aside and stalwart voters who want him to remain at the top of the ticket saw the hosts of Pod Save America podcast take a beating on social media Friday.

Dan Pfeiffer, Jon Lovett, Jon Favreau, and Tommy Vieto — all former aides to President Barack Obama — have been leading the charge for Biden to relinquish his hold on the delegates headed to the Democratic convention in August and give someone else a shot, the Guardian reports.

'Remember he weaponized government!' Ranting Trump triggered by soft-ball golf question

Former President Donald Trump struggled Friday to deliver a coherent answer to a soft-ball question from a conservative radio host about how great he is at golf.

Trump appeared on the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show Friday at noon for an interview that saw him speak for nearly two minutes, without stopping, about golf victories, cognitive tests, President Joe Biden's claims of having piloted planes, professional golfers he has defeated and Biden's weaponization of the federal government against him.

Trump's George Clooney fixation enters Day 3

While actor George Clooney may have expected backlash from his New York Times editorial asking President Joe Biden to drop out of the race, he likely didn't count on Donald Trump's eagerness to try to welcome him into the Republican Party.

Clooney, a longtime liberal and Democratic donor, wrote three days ago that he was no longer on board with Biden as the 2024 Democratic standard bearer, leading Trump to rush to email supporters that Clooney might join them.

As former President Donald Trump gears up for a third run at the White House in 2024 and next week's Republican National Convention, the question of who will join him on the ticket as his running mate is a crucial consideration.

Trump could easily screw up his golden opportunity against Biden next week: GOP insider

As Republicans head into their convention Monday, the firing squad of pundits surrounding President Joe Biden may finally have their eyes diverted elsewhere.

Speaking to MSNBC, Brendan Buck, a former senior aide to two former Speakers of the House, warned that Donald Trump is sprinting into the brick wall he's been avoiding for the past year. With the cameras aimed at Trump, his far-right allies, and "Project 2025" for the next week, Buck warned that the stakes are high.

'Not going to happen': Prosecutor sticks knife in new Trump trial verdict demand

Reacting to a court filing made public on Thursday where Donald Trump's lawyers demanded his Manhattan 34-count felony conviction be tossed out, a Florida prosecutor laughed it off and said it's a non-starter.

On Thursday, the NY Times reported that Trump lawyers Todd Blanche and Emil Bove are using the Supreme Court's presidential immunity ruling as a reason for Judge Juan Merchan to throw out the jury's verdict and dismiss the case.

Dem lawmaker shreds Wolf Blitzer to his face for Biden media 'feeding frenzy'

A Democratic lawmaker slapped back Friday morning at CNN media pundits he blames for a "feeding frenzy" that could imperil President Joe Biden's reelection campaign.

Wolf Blitzer triggered the heated debate with Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) when he chose to ask about calls for Biden to resign rather than the president's recent press conference, which the California Democrat called a "tour de force."

'Possible' Trump is communicating with Putin during campaign: National security expert

Noting that at the same time that President Joe Biden is meeting with the leaders of the NATO nations, Donald Trump is meeting with Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, a former adviser to the former president said it was entirely possible that Trump is using the Hungarian strongman as a cut-out to stay in contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Appearing on CNN with host Jim Acosta, former Trump national security adviser John Bolton claimed he wouldn't be surprised if Trump was in communication with the Russian president during the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.

After watching footage of Trump with the prime minister down at Mar-a-Lago, Acosta asked, "Is it possible that Trump is communicating to Putin through Orbán? What do you think?"

"Well, it's possible, it's possible," Bolton conceded. "[That] Trump is communicating with him a lot of different ways. You know, Trump believes that the relations between countries are entirely bound up in the personal relationships between the heads of government. So he thinks if he has a good relationship with Vladimir Putin then US/Russia relations are fine."

"And I think what we're seeing here is he's getting ready for what he expects will be his second term and I don't I don't see any good news it."

A Washington D.C. court Friday refused a demand from a one-time Justice Department official who could face disbarment for pushing Donald Trump's "big lie," according to court records and legal experts.

The D.C. Circuit court tossed attorney Jeff Clark's demand to transfer his disbarment case to federal court and professed itself unimpressed with the Trump ally's legal arguments, court records show.

Trump campaign managers participation in 'landslide' profile might blow up their faces

Following a segment on journalist Tim Aberta's interview with Donald Trump's campaign managers where they boasted about the great job they are doing, MSNBC's Johnathan Lemire and Willie Geist suggested the former president has a history of viciously turning on aides who overshadow him.

In Alberta's "Trump is planning for a landslide win," for The Atlantic, campaign managers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles brag about the outstanding job they have done getting the Trump campaign in a better position than it was in 2020 when he lost to President Joe Biden, going so far, as Alberta put it, to compare the two previous Trump campaigns as "clown shows."
