Fox News will pay $12 million to a former Tucker Carlson producer who accused the network of operating a hostile and discriminatory workplace and of coercing her to lie in Dominion’s lawsuit against the network, the New York Times reported Friday.
Abby Grossberg said in a statement that she was “heartened that Fox News has taken me and my legal claims seriously,” the Times reported.
The latest settlement follows a $787.5 million payment to Dominion Voting Systems which accused Fox of defamation after it pushed stolen election lies and questioned Dominion's voting technology.
A second defamation case from another company, Smartmatic, is ongoing.
Grossberg, 42, claimed Fox and Tucker Carlson, with whom she worked as head of booking, allowed a misogynistic work culture and that she had been harassed. She also said she was coerced into lying when she gave sworn testimony, though she changed her comments before the Dominion case went to trial.
She was fired after filing the legal action.
Carlson was fired by Fox after the Dominion settlement in April.
In a statement, a Fox spokesperson said, "We are pleased that we have been able to resolve this matter without further litigation.”
