
Disgraced lawyer Alex Murdaugh pleads not guilty to the slayings of his wife and son
Convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh, 54, has been indicted by a grand jury on federal fraud charges, ABC News reported.
Murdaugh is currently serving life in prison after he was convicted in March of murdering his wife and their youngest son.
Murdaugh was indicted on 22 counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud; bank fraud; wire fraud; and money laundering. The charges allege that he "engaged in three different schemes to obtain money and property from his personal injury clients" between 2005 and 2021 while employed as a personal injury attorney at his Hampton law firm.
