An otherwise slam-dunk Super Tuesday for President Joe Biden ran afoul in an unexpected territory: American Samoa.

Jason Palmer, 52, claimed victory with 51 of the 91 ballots cast in the territory’s caucus, according to reports from the Associated Press and the Washington Post.

Biden only won 40 and lost out on six delegates, according to the reports.

According to the Associated Press, "Palmer describes himself as a Baltimore resident who has worked for various businesses and nonprofits."

Palmer won the region with some moxie, as can be seen in a victory tweet.

"Today marks a significant day for Americans to choose their leader," Palmer said. "As a Presidential Candidate, I offer a fresh perspective aligned with the current desires and struggles of our citizens. Vote for Jason Palmer and let's rebuild the American Dream together."

In the last election cycle, American Samoa delivered billionaire candidate Michael Bloomberg’s lone win back in 2020.

Biden is predicted to claim the majority of Democratic delegates he needs to claim his party's nomination.
