Conservative radio host and GOP strategist Andrea Kaye attacked Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny on Monday during an appearance on Newsmax as “anti-American” over his monologue on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, while also lambasting all undocumented migrants as “parasites.”
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, opened SNL’s 51st season Saturday by addressing the conservative backlash to the NFL selecting him to headline the 2026 Super Bowl, and partly in Spanish.
“If you didn't understand what I just said, you have four months to learn,” Ocasio said, sparking cheers and laughter from the live audience.
This didn’t sit well with Kaye, who characterized Ocasio’s remarks as “nasty” and “a direct attack.”
“He's obviously anti-American with this snide, arrogant, nasty comment: 'if you didn't understand what I just said, go learn Spanish,’” Kayte said. “That's a direct attack, I take that personally!”
Newsmax host Bianca de la Garza appeared to agree with Kaye, who called Ocasio “anti-Trump” and “anti-ICE,” and questioned if he was the right choice to headline next year’s Super Bowl.
Ocasio, a three-time Grammy winner, has criticized President Donald Trump’s immigration policy and announced last month that he wouldn’t perform in the mainland United States due to concerns over Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids.
Now, after having been tapped by the NFL to headline the most-watched sporting event in the nation, Kaye lashed out at the NFL for having made “not a good move” and erupted into a tirade targeting undocumented migrants.
“President Trump was elected mainly to secure the border and to deport all of the invaders who came here, the millions of them who came here; worst-case, to rape or pillage; best case, to live off of us as parasites, refusing to assimilate,” Kaye said. “Not a good move!”
