President Joe Biden on Thursday received a prolonged ovation after Vice President Kamala Harris introduced him at a campaign event intended to highlight their administration's success in lowering prescription drug costs for Medicare beneficiaries.

Speaking before a crowd in Maryland, Harris took the stage with Biden for the first time since he announced he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race and throwing his support behind his vice president.

"I could speak all afternoon about the person I am standing on the stage with," Harris said while glancing toward Biden.

At this point, applause erupted from the audience.
