President Joe Biden on Thursday held his first event with his vice president since handing over as the Democratic Party's presidential nominee — and took the opportunity to take a humorous dig at Donald Trump.
The pair were speaking in Maryland to announce a deal to lower prescription drug prices — a key 2020 campaign promise for Biden.
Biden took the podium to chants of "thank you, Joe" from the crowd.
But he paused the prescription talk to take a jab at Harris' opponent. A frequent target of Trump's accusations that he's old and feeble, Biden faked a memory lapse.

"Guess what, the guy we're running against, what's his name?" Biden joked. "Donald Dump? Or Donald whatever? He wanted to get rid of this, what we passed. They're fighting to get rid of what we just passed. No, I'm serious. No help from Republicans to pass the Inflation Reduction Act."
He then thanked Harris for being the tie-breaking vote in the U.S. Senate, which ensured the bill passed.
"Folks," he said, "it really matters."
