Former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush revealed that he told NBC that President Donald Trump tried to sleep with his co-host nearly a decade before a leaked tape almost ended the then-candidate's 2016 campaign.

During a conversation on Rob Lowe's podcast this week, Bush recalled riding on the bus in 2005 when Trump made his infamous "grab 'em by the p—" remarks.

"And this is when, you know, whenever you're with Trump, and I was for 10 years, there's two major topics, golf and the P word," Bush told Lowe. "But I always remembered that tape as the Nancy O'Dell tape because he kept talking about my co-host, Nancy O'Dell."

Bush said Trump told him that he hit on O'Dell by offering to take her furniture shopping. Although the former host indicated that he didn't remember hearing Trump's profane remarks about women at the time, he did take notice of the comments about O'Dell.

"All I said was Nancy O'Dell because I didn't hear the other stuff," he insisted. "I said, he's trying to take Nancy furniture shopping to sleep with her."

"This is crazy. He's done it again. The guy's an animal. I reported basically to my superior."
