WASHINGTON — Allies of Republican Senate candidate Jeff Bartos have pressed ahead with his charged attack on GOP rival Sean Parnell, pointing to protective orders sought by Parnell's wife — but party insiders are divided over who is suffering the worse political fallout. On Monday night, a political action committee aligned with Bartos ran a 30-second ad during the Eagles-Cowboys game that highlighted derogatory comments about women Parnell made in 2019 and briefly nodded to temporary protection-from-abuse orders issued against him after allegations by his estranged wife. Steve Bannon rants about 'stolen' election just hours before Jan. 6 Committee votes on criminal referral
Conservative broadcaster Steve Bannon continued on Tuesday to promote lies about the 2020 presidential election despite reports that the January 6 Committee will vote to refer his case to the Justice Department.
Bannon, who served as an adviser to former President Donald Trump, has said that he will defy a subpoena from the January 6 Committee. The committee was expected to vote on a criminal referral for Bannon later on Tuesday.
Trump's former chief strategist devoted a significant portion of his Tuesday War Room broadcast on Real America's Voice to the idea that the 2020 election was "stolen" by President Joe Biden.
Bannon used one segment to beg Virginia Republicans to vote in the race for governor despite his claim that Democrats are cheating.
"It's actions that convince the deplorables their votes are going to count," he explained at one point.
The War Room host went on to speak to guests about auditing the 2020 vote in Arizona, Utah and Pennsylvania.
Bannon praised his guests for "preaching the gospel of 3 November."

Donald Trump melted down over the House select committee investigation hours ahead of a vote on possible contempt charges against adviser Steve Bannon.
The select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection will convene Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to vote on a report recommending that Bannon be held in contempt for ignoring a subpoena, and the twice-impeached one-term president issued an angry statement through his spokeswoman Liz Harrington because he has been banned from Twitter.
"The fake, highly partisan Unselect Committee continues to rock and roll," Trump complained. "They were unable to make a deal with Kevin McCarthy to put real Republicans on the Committee, so they got stuck with low-polling warmonger Liz Cheney and Cryin' Adam Kinzinger who have no idea what our Party stands for."
"Cheney is polling in the low 20's in Wyoming, the State she doesn't represent," he continued. "This is just a continuation of the Witch Hunt which started with the now fully debunked and discredited Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, quickly reverting to a perfect phone call with Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, and now this. The Unselect Committee is composed of absolute political hacks who want to destroy the Republican Party and are decimating America itself."
"I am the only thing in their way," he added. "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Jared Kushner won't be running his family's real estate company after leaving the White House.
The family has tapped company president Laurent Morali to become chief executive of the Kushner Companies, taking over the role that had essentially sat vacant since Jared Kushner began working full time on his father-in-law Donald Trump's presidential campaign in 2016 and then joining the administration, reported the Wall Street Journal.
Kushner's younger sister Nicole Meyer will take over as president, while their father Charles Kushner will continue to play a role in management and investment decisions.
The firm, which values its holdings at more than $15 billion, has moved away from the flashier Manhattan acquisitions made under Jared Kushner's leadership and purchased rental properties in the South, where rising housing costs have prevented many renters from buying their own homes.
