'Not a blame game': Jay Leno schools Fox News about 'pointing fingers' for LA fires

During an appearance on Fox News, former "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno took a shot at people "pointing fingers" and making a "blame game" out of the wildfires ravaging Los Angeles County.

On Wednesday, Leno told Fox News host Sandra Smith that he was helping to serve meals to firefighters because he didn't want to be part of the group of people engaging in finger-pointing.

"The great thing is I haven't heard a political discussion for the last four days. Nobody's blaming this, that," the comedian explained. "They're fighting a fire. These guys have no opinion. I'm sure they have opinions, but it's not a blame game at this point at play, but it's just a matter of what we've got to do to fix this."

"Now, everybody else in L.A. is pointing fingers and blaming people. These are the people actually doing something to fix it," he added.

After the wildfires broke out, Fox News became a primary platform for those seeking to blame the tragedy on Democratic and liberal policies.

"Well, of course, we know where California liberals choose to spend billions, and we do know that their environmental fanaticism has shoved common sense thinking out the door," Fox News host Laura Ingraham said last week. "Now, while the winds are horrific, experts insist that bad forest management can make a bad situation worse. And Trump called this out six years ago. … He's right. Incompetence kills."
