Capitol police officer Harry Dunn says that the Trump-loving rioters who stormed the United States Capitol building on January 6th deserve to be considered terrorists.

In an interview with ABC News, Dunn recalled the shock he felt watching Trump supporters attack Capitol police officers even while holding Blue Lives Matter flags.

"'I got called a [N-word] a couple dozen times today protecting this building,'" Dunn told ABC News. "Is this America? They beat police officers with Blue Lives Matter flags. They fought us, they had Confederate flags in the U.S. Capitol."

Dunn said that he was particularly disturbed by what the rioters were trying to accomplish.

""They were terrorists," he said. "They tried to disrupt this country's democracy -- that was their goal... And you know what? Y'all failed because later that night, they went on and they certified the election."

Hours after the riot began, former President Donald Trump urged his violent fans to go home "peacefully" and told them that "we love you" and "you're very special."
