The founder of Students for Trump will not face trial after he was charged for allegedly hitting a woman with a pistol.
Records obtained by Axios showed that Ryan Fournier was charged with misdemeanor assault late last month following a confrontation with a woman thought to be his girlfriend in North Carolina.
Fournier was accused of "grabbing her right arm and striking her in the forehead" with a gun.
The woman was said to have sustained minor injuries.

On Wednesday, Law & Crime's Brandi Buchman reported that the charges were voluntarily dropped.
"According to the court docket in North Carolina and a spokesperson for Students for Trump co-founder Ryan Fournier: charges against him for allegedly assaulting his ex-gf, including hitting her on head with pistol, have been voluntarily dropped," Buchman said.
It was unclear why the charges had been dropped.
Fournier now leads a group called Radical Alert, which claims to expose how radicals have "taken over American college campuses."
