FBI Director Christopher Wray will testify before the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee next month, NBC News reports.

The Trump-appointed official is slated to testify before the panel July 12 according to two sources familiar with the matter, one of whom told the news outlet “everything is on the table,” the report said.

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) had sought Wray’s testimony on multiple topics, including the investigation of Hunter Biden over his taxes and gun charges, the report said. The president’s son is expected to plead guilty to tax charges.

Jordan had also subpoenaed Wray for documents in an FBI investigation of possible violent extremism in Catholic Churches, and for documents related to local school board meetings, the report said.

"Since October 2021, Judiciary Committee Republicans have sent over one hundred letters to Biden Administration officials requesting answers about how the Administration used federal counterterrorism resources against American parents," Jordan's office said in statement.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) had threatened to hold Wray in contempt of Congress, but the proceedings stalled after the FBI agreed to allow Congress to view a document that ostensibly depicts an unsubstantiated claim that as vice president Joe Biden accepted a bribe.
