'Drunk talentless advance man': Roger Stone is no fan of fellow Trump ally's new gig

Roger Stone, a prominent political consultant and staunch ally of President Donald Trump, took a swipe late Tuesday at the Trump administration's newest hire.

Corey Lewandowski, a senior advisor for Trump's presidential election campaign last year, is now a special government employee at the Department of Homeland Security, now headed by Secretary Kristi Noem, Politico reported. Lewandowski sat in on transition meetings with Noem and consulted with her on political appointees for the agency.

A spokesperson for the agency told the outlet, “Like Elon Musk and so many other patriots, Mr. Lewandowski volunteers his time as a special government employee (SGE) to help President Trump Make America Great Again.”

But Stone, who worked on Richard Nixon's 1972 re-election campaign and became well known for his aggressive political strategies, was none too pleased with the news.

"Proving that even a drunk talentless advance man with a long history of sexual assault can make it under DHS secretary Kristi Noem," he raged on X.

Lewandowski has been accused of sexual misconduct multiple times, allegations he has denied.

In 2021, Trashelle Odom accused Lewandowski of making unwanted sexual advances, touching her inappropriately, and stalking her during a charity event.

In 2017, a singer told police Lewandowski twice slapped her behind during a holiday party at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.

And during the 2016 campaign, Lewandowski was charged with battery — charges that were later dropped — for grabbing a journalist's arm, leaving bruises.
