CNN John Berman apologized to viewers Wednesday morning after visibly cringing at remarks made by former President Joe Biden.
Tossing to a sound bite from a BBC interview with the former President, Berman noted, “[Biden] was asked a question that I think I know Democrats don't want to relive right now, which is should he have dropped out of the race sooner.”
“Mr. President, did you leave it too late? Should you have withdrawn earlier? Given someone else a bigger chance?” The BBC’s Nick Robinson asked Biden.

“I don't think it would have mattered,” Biden said.
After the sound bite, the technical director cut to Berman, who had an uncomfortable cringe face in reaction to the comments. “I'm sorry. I shouldn't have had that face there."
He then continued on with the segment, “I mean, it may be the way he answered that question?”
The guest did not react to the face Berman made.
