FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino complained that he "gave up everything" — including his wife — to work for President Donald Trump.
During a Thursday appearance on Fox & Friends, Bongino became emotional as he talked about the conditions of his job.
"I don't know what people think me and [FBI Director Kash Patel] are doing all day," he said. "I mean, I gave up everything for this. I mean, you know, my wife is struggling and I'm not a victim."
"Kash is there all day," he continued. "We share — our offices are linked. He turns on the faucet. I hear it... But I stare at these four walls all day in D.C."
"You know, by myself, divorced from my wife, not divorced, but I mean, separated. And it's hard. I mean, you know, we love each other and it's hard to be apart."

Bongino encouraged his critics in the MAGA movement to judge him by his accomplishments.
"Trust is for fools. Just wait for the results," he said. "That's all I'm asking. Don't trust me. Trust is for people. Too many actors in government have asked you to trust them and screwed you in the past."
Bongino has vowed to reopen investigations into cocaine found in the White House during Joe Biden's tenure as president and leaks at the Supreme Court.
