GOP lawmaker: Wrongly deported man won't be returned because he's a 'potential terrorist'

Rep. Dan Meuser (R-PA) argued that a wrongly deported Maryland man should not be returned to the United States from El Salvador because he was a "potential terrorist."

During a Thursday interview on Fox Business, Meuser defended the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia despite the Supreme Court's ruling that he should be returned and the Trump administration's admission that he was mistakenly deported.

"This is as close to madness and upside-down world as it gets," Meuser said, complaining about Democrats calling for Garcia's return. "We have illegal immigrants en masse that are still in our country."

"They want to state he wasn't in MS-13. Well, birds of a feather, flock together where they were all together," he continued. "Maybe he's not a terrorist, but he's a potential terrorist. He's a terrorist watch list person."

"The Democrats once again are showing how out of touch they are and where their priorities are not in line with 95% of Americans."
