Three lawyers who helped disgraced Trump lawyer Sidney Powell in her efforts to overturn the 2020 election have had disciplinary charges filed against them by D.C. bar investigators, Politico reported.
The lawyers, identified by Law 360 as Lawrence J. Joseph, Julia Z. Haller and Brandon C. Johnson, are accused of making false statements in court about lawsuits they filed in the weeks after the 2020 election.
The charges are the latest in a series of disciplinary actions taken against lawyers linked to the effort to overturn the 2020 election.

If the trio is found culpable in relation to the charges, the individuals' punishments could range anywhere from reprimand to suspension to disbarment.
The lawyers “knew or should have known the lawsuits were frivolous,” the bar investigators charged. “They had no plausible factual basis for the claims they made and the relief they sought was unprecedented and beyond the authority of courts to grant.”
