A man on a Delta Airlines red-eye flight repeatedly groped a 13-year-old girl and threatened to kidnap her, The Sacramento Bee reported.
Brian Patrick Durning, 52, rubbed his leg on the girl as she sat on the Delta flight from Los Angeles to Orlando in June last year and grabbed her chest when she tried to stop him, telling her he would take her to Texas and that she was “never going to see your family again."
The court heard that the girl suffered a panic attack and was unable to speak as she was attacked.

A passenger sleeping nearby woke and stopped the assault when she saw one of Durning's hands "between the child’s legs,” according to the sentencing memo.
Durning was sentenced to five years in federal prison for the assault.
