Real estate tycoon Robert Bigelow, who was one of Ron DeSantis' biggest donors, is considering switching his support over to Donald Trump, Politico reported.

Bigelow's potential switch comes as DeSantis continues to lag in polls behind Trump.

“I’ve got to look at who would probably be the strongest commander, with the most experience ... And that’s only one guy," he said in a recent interview.

“Who would you want as a commander? I’d want somebody that would be a hell of an a-- kicker if he needed to be,” Bigelow said. “On the face of it, you lean toward Trump.”

Bigelow's change of heart was partly due to the Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel carried out by Hamas, saying that he wants a "streetwise" president at the helm. He was also discouraged by DeSantis' abortion stance, namely his signing a bill in April that banned abortion in Florida past six weeks.

“Six weeks, she just found out she’s pregnant, the odds are,” Bigelow told the outlet. “It’s a sham. It’s make-believe. It’s condescending.”

He said DeSantis is too focused on "conservatism" while Trump is more of a moderate.
