Of the many things included in the closed-door testimony from former White House Counsel Don McGahn before the Justice Committee is the comment that McGahn had a hard time getting Trump off the phone.
While it isn't likely to change the outcome of a case, it certainly sent many to chuckle at the desperation by McGahn to escape the president.
"McGahn said he told the President that he would see what he could do," one member asked, citing page 85 of the Mueller report .
"I did say that, yeah. Yeah," answered McGahn.
"Did you intend to see what you could do?" the member asked.
"No," McGahn said, simply.
