CNN doctor speculates Trump has already gotten a COVID booster shot 'in secret'

Speaking to CNN's Jim Acosta, Dr. Jonathan Reiner, MD, responded to a quote from former President Donald Trump about whether he would get a COVID-19 booster shot.

Trump, who spoke with Yahoo Finance, wasn't asked if he'd already gotten the booster shot but if he would get the shot. Trump is 75-years-old and has some minor health issues, according to public disclosures.

"Well, I got the Pfizer and I would've been very happy with any of them," said Trump. He was then asked if he would get the booster shot." Well, if I felt it was necessary. I guess, I have sort of a double vaccine because, as you know, I had it, recovered from it pretty well."

Dr. Reiner said that Trump's answer should have been that he would absolutely get the booster shot and encourage his supporters to talk to their doctors if they need it as well. "Instead, he's riffing [on] it. And if I had to guess, I would guess he's already been boosted."

"In secret," said Acosta.

"Like the original vaccine. In secret," said Dr. Reiner.

Acosta began the discussion by showing the overlap of COVID-19 deaths and the counties that voted for Trump.
