'Get the bum off the air': Trump rages at 'no talent' talk show host

Donald Trump has raged at "no talent" talk show host Jimmy Kimmel in a post to Truth Social.

The president has made few allies in the late-night television sphere, previously posting about Stephen Colbert, whose Late Show will end next season. Trump has now targeted Kimmel and the Live! show, with a post to Truth Social showing the president is furious at the entertainer.

Trump wrote, "Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air? Why do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage. Get the bum off the air!!!"

The post comes as Kimmel took a jab at Trump in his monologue following the signing of the Epstein files bill. Kimmel said, "We are carefully following the path of Hurricane Epstein right now. It's a category five, it's expected to make landfall sometime very soon, we are now one step closer to answering the question 'what did the president know?' and 'how old were these women when he knew them?'"

Kimmel continued his jabs at the president in the monologue, with the talk show host referring to the "quiet, piggy" comments made by Trump on Air Force One. The president made the comments to a Bloomberg News reporter who had asked about Trump's ties to Epstein.

Kimmel said, "Trump is not a happy little meal right now. Every time he gets asked about Jeffrey Epstein, he loses his mind. He said ‘Quiet, piggy’ to a reporter and it barely made the news. If a man spoke like that to a female co-worker in a workplace harassment training video, you’d go, ‘Ah, that’s over the top. Nobody would do that.’"

Trump has previously made comments on Kimmel and his show, with the president once saying the 58-year-old comedian is "next to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes".

Trump wrote, "The word is, and it’s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone.

"These are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. It’s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!"
