Donald Trump Jr. sells Hamptons mansion at nearly double the original price to an undisclosed buyer

Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle have sold their Hamptons mansion for a massive $3.6 million pre-tax profit. The couple purchased the home for $4.495 million in 2019. It was sold to an undisclosed buyer for $8.14 million.

The Daily Mail revealed that the couple's first home together was 9,200 square feet, boasted seven bedrooms and was set on 3.9 acres with a pool, spa, waterfall and a "25-acre natural spring-fed pond."

The couple has been looking for a Florida home in Jupiter, along with other family members who are fleeing to Florida.

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner purchased land on an exclusive island known as the "billionaires bunker."

The New York Post claimed that the home wasn't listed on the real estate market "so it would sell quickly." Typically people list properties on several real estate sites so that they will sell quickly. In the Trump family's case, it appears that being public about real estate sales hurts their bottom line.

Florida is where the patriarch, former President Donald Trump, has moved so that he can live in his Mar-a-Lago resort. Florida has some of the most broadly-worded protections for debtors seeking to collect on them. Those "facing pressure from creditors often move to Florida to ensure their assets are judgment proof," Wethering Hamilton Law explained on their website.

Trump and his adult children are facing extensive legal battles that could result in hefty fines or judgments. But by fleeing to Florida, the family can buy lavish mansions that likely wouldn't be taken to pay the bills.
