Trump kept chummy ties with Mar-a-Lago ex-staffer months after the FBI raided the property to confiscate classified records, according to an exclusive CNN report filed Monday night.
The 45th president maintained a pattern of good rapport with various key people tied to the June indictment accusing him of criminally hoarding classified documents at the Florida estate, according to the report. Trump pleaded not guilty.
A nameless ex Mar-a-Lago worker who quit received a call from Trump in August — just three months after the feds executed a warrant and secured evidence from the sprawling club, according to CNN.
The former employee was seen handling "several boxes" for Trump and aware of conversations detailed in the 60-page indictment filed in July naming Trump, CNN reports.
According to CNN sources, Trump's one-time defense attorney John Rowley, early in 2023, reached out to the former employee and left a voicemail.
The employee did not return it, according to CNN, citing the New York Times.
The attorneys representing the former employee as well as Trump didn't comment on the interactions and the Special Counsel’s office spokesman also refused to speak on the matter.
