A Texas Democrat is calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Rep. Marc Veasey (D-TX) joined CNN's Erin Burnett on "OutFront" to discuss the Democrats' latest efforts to release the files. The GOP killed a procedural vote on Tuesday that would have allowed the Democrats to force a vote on releasing the files.

"They always talk a big game," Veasey said of the GOP. "They're like the Freedom Caucus. They say they're going to be for this or that, because it will make the deficit go high, and then they end up caving at the end."

Veasey's comments come as the Trump administration continues to try and outrun the Epstein files story, which has consumed the news cycle for nearly a week. Administration officials have reportedly called prominent MAGA influencers and asked them to stop talking about the files. Meanwhile, more GOP members are calling on the administration to be transparent about the files.

Burnett asked Veasey what he thinks of Bondi attempting to downplay Epstein's client list. Earlier this year, Bondi told Fox News that the files were sitting on her desk awaiting her review before being released. Now, Bondi is claiming there is no client list.

"Let me ask it to you this way, Congressman: Do you think she is hiding something?" Burnett said.

"Absolutely, I think she's hiding something," Veasey replied. "For the last two years, they have been hooping and hollering about the fact that there are files that are being hidden by the Biden administration."

"Now, they're in power. They're the dog that caught the car. They have the absolute power to release these files, and they just won't do it," Veasey continued. "So, do I think she's hiding something? Hell yeah, I think she's hiding something."
